Can Free Press Releases work?

Chances are you’ve found this blog because like me you have limited experience of the press and want to know what is achievable if you can’t afford a PR agency or you’re sceptical about using an online press release distribution channel.

Here is my real time account of what I tried and what I did to get two “stories” to the world and make people aware of our business without spending any money

My press releases are already written and ready to go. The target audience is small business owners and employees who either sense or know they need a “system” or small business management software to to run their business. This audience is very diverse, notoriously difficult to reach and has a very short attention span.

If you want to know how to write a press release then I will be covering this later as I think I know at the moment but no doubt a long the way my views will change depending upon the outcome. Here are the top places on the net that tell you how to write a press release . I cannot speak for the quality but of course I will be referring to these if the going gets tough.

17:02 - Obvious place to start type “Free press release” to Google .com.

17:26 - Found someone elses list of 23 allegedly Free PR sites and established that there are on average 398 searches on the term “free press release” every month.

Here they are I will be reviewing each of them in order here. If there is a link on the word review I have been and reviewed it in detail.
